The Language Arts 6 program helps students to add creativity to their writing with more effective use of vocabulary. They will add colorful words to an advanced word dictionary and utilize a spelling dictionary that includes a thematic thesaurus and homonym index to help them in this pursuit. They'll also work through lessons that prompt students to work on key writing skills that will add interest and excitement to their written work. They will sharpen skills such as developing interest-catching stories, using personification and more with their use of words.
Students will also enjoy a dash of fun with the "Get Wise!" spelling book that helps students with key rule breakers and other tricky and sticky spelling situations. They will also continue their work in "Easy Grammar 5 & 6," reinforcing concepts learned last year. Vocabulary studies and handwriting practice is also continued.
The Language Arts 6 program includes the resources listed below, and a guidebook that offers creative writing & reading to coordinate with several themed programs. It also offers your choice of several reader sets, so you'll want to choose the set that includes the themed readers that coordinate with your themed program.
